This week my other company Urban E-Learning (co-owned with my business partner Steven Asnicar) was engaged by the AMAQ to fast track the development of a website designed to provide information to the public about local hospital "indicators". We took the brief and registered the domain name on Monday afternoon, and by Wednesday at midnight, the site was completed! It was launched today with lots of media engagements, resulting in it being a lead story on Channels 7, 9 and 10 this evening.
Here’s the story as it was run on Channel 10.
The site came up really well, our client, the CEO of AMAQ was wrapped in it.

By · CommentsLooking back over the many successes my clients have had this year, one stands out in my mind as particularly valiant and newsworthy!
Lisa Vance a leading Nutritionist in Brisbane runs a business called I’ve Got Life. Lisa only came out to Australia from South Africa around 18 months ago, and has developed an enviable following of clients and supporters through effective networking and engaging several online strategies. Not having a huge budget for an online presence, we focussed on creating a simple but functional site and also created some videos which are still ranked # 4 and 5 in Google for the term "nutritionist in brisbane".

The Coveted Double Listing
By · CommentsHere’s an interesting example of a double listing in Google. You can only get two listings in Google for the same domain, and sometimes you get them one after the other, whcih is always nice because you pick up the extra "domination" of the SERPS for that term.
My client Drake Homes is one of Brisbane’s longest established relocatable homes providers, and runs a very busy operation on the southside of Brisbane. A lot of his traffic comes from Google so we looked at ways to improve his presence and rankings. The example I want to mention today is for the serach term relocatable homes brisbane which his site ranked quite well for already but now that we added in an SEO page specifically optimised for that term, he now has a #2 AND a #3 listing. With further linking work, this can easily go even higher.

I met Warren Smith at a talk I gave up on the Sunshine Coast. He’s a really cool guy from South Africa and recently purchased Project Furniture with his business partner David Taylor. Office furniture is actually a really competitive niche so keyword research was really important, focussing on long tail keywords. He supplies office chairs in brisbane, office chairs nsw, in fact office furniture all over Australia, so that made the task a little easier - its a HUGE market!
Here are some of the keyword phrases we chose for him:

We’re also going to make a video for him about one of his very cool ergonomic mesh chairs.

I’m looking for an innovative marketing company in Brisbane with direct response and B2B marketing experience (not interest in big firm "branding" oriented approaches) to assist me with helping an SME develop a strategy and possible pilot marketing campaign roll-out for an innovative new B2B product targeted at the SME sector.
Must be innovative, strongly customer service focussed, and not have ridiculous expectations price wise, to provide some initial strategies for this project. SEO Agency Brisbane - Some examples of simple SEO pages
By · CommentsFollowing the dramatic results of the examples I posted 2 days ago here, where 4 pages got top 4 rankings just 24 hours after Google indexed them, I thought I’d post a few more up here for us to watch. These one as I post them have not been indexed yet. so lets see how they go.
It’s about 9.30pm Brisbane time on the 7th of July as I post these.

As of posting this (Monday 6th July) these are all brand new, and haven’t been indexed yet, so you wont find them listed or ranked in Google yet! (Update 7th July: Yes you will now! See below!). Note these are what I call "ownership" terms which although they don;t have large search traffic (if any) reported in Google, this business is staking its claim over these terms in the major states and cities. The business sells a reasonably high-ticket item, so even if it only gets a couple of visitors and sales from each term per year, its MASSIVELY worth his while!

You see today my VA contacted me to say she could not follow anyone through my Twitter account. I checked it out, and sure enough, I just got this time-clock signal, and nothing happened, each time I tried to follow someone. I checked the Twitter forum and there was an acknowledged issue with following/followers, so I didn’t think too much more about it. But tonight I am getting a little message which says that I’m unable to follow more people at this moment, and "click here.
I thought I’d share the page with you, so you can read from the horses mouth what can cause these occurances, especially when its related to perhaps a little too-much-too-quick following! We’ll see!
