I met Warren Smith at a talk I gave up on the Sunshine Coast. He’s a really cool guy from South Africa and recently purchased Project Furniture with his business partner David Taylor. Office furniture is actually a really competitive niche so keyword research was really important, focussing on long tail keywords. He supplies office chairs in brisbane, office chairs nsw, in fact office furniture all over Australia, so that made the task a little easier - its a HUGE market!
Here are some of the keyword phrases we chose for him:
office chair brisbane
office desks australia
office chairs qld
office chair sydney
We’re also going to make a video for him about one of his very cool ergonomic mesh chairs.
As well as office chairs Project Furniture also supply a full range of office furniture including partitioning and desk systems.

Following the dramatic results of the examples I posted 2 days ago here, where 4 pages got top 4 rankings just 24 hours after Google indexed them, I thought I’d post a few more up here for us to watch. These one as I post them have not been indexed yet. so lets see how they go.
It’s about 9.30pm Brisbane time on the 7th of July as I post these.
We’ll keep track of how they go from time to time!

Here are some examples of brand new SEO pages we’ve created for clients.
As of posting this (Monday 6th July) these are all brand new, and haven’t been indexed yet, so you wont find them listed or ranked in Google yet! (Update 7th July: Yes you will now! See below!). Note these are what I call "ownership" terms which although they don;t have large search traffic (if any) reported in Google, this business is staking its claim over these terms in the major states and cities. The business sells a reasonably high-ticket item, so even if it only gets a couple of visitors and sales from each term per year, its MASSIVELY worth his while!
Click on the links below to see the actual Google searches:
Spray tanning equipment queensland
(Update 7th July 1 day after indexing - ranks #1 in Google for that keyword)
Spray tanning equipment melbourne
(Update 7th July 1 day after indexing - ranks #4 in Google for that keyword)
spray tanning equipment victoria
(Update 7th July 1 day after indexing - ranked #1 in Google for that keyword)
spray tanning equipment perth
(Update 7th July 1 day after indexing - ranks #3 in Google under two business directory listings also owned by this business, for that keyword!)
Not only that but these pages are serving triple and quadruple duty, because they also rank similarly highly for the same geographical locations for terms like: "spray tan equipment [location]", "spray tanning machines [location]" and spray tan machines [location] plus no doubt some others I haven’t checked!
tanning equipment for sale
airbrush tanning equipment
Water filter brisbane
water filters qld
build home brisbane
house builder brisbane

More relating to the headline below, but first…
If you’re a member of
http://theunguruofsocialmarketing.com/ you’ll know we’ve been seeing some great examples of people taking action on the knowledge they’ve been learning, and reaping the rewards!
One of our members, Heather, the "Queen of Budgeting and Saving" has gone from around 300 followers to over 1000 in not much over a week! But the best part is she’s getting new subscribers to her budget tips newsletter here
http://www.moneydetective.com.au/
Just from Facebook and Twitter, through meeting Maria Andros, I’ve met over half a dozen great new friends. One is Pam in Sydney, and I’m now a guest speaker at her and her husbands marketing seminars starting next month. This is sure to create more client opportunities for my business, plus as well we are selling products and services from the stage at that seminar. I have met and connected with these people purely through Facebook / Twitter connections.
Another one is Annie, who is ON FIRE about helping businesses with online marketing. She is linking up with my business as some of my packages can help her achieve her goals. Another JV with huge potential - conceived totally from SMM.
Then Annie and I are meeting with Dean @ByronNewMedia on Saturday. Dean’s an awesome guy with an agency down in Byron Bay, and really has his head around how to connect up the key Social Media properties. He knows how to put together some pretty cool business applications as well.
One of my other members and clients Lisa from @ivegotlife has so many video rankings for two of her main keyword phrases, she has not one, but FIVE listings on the first two pages of Google for the keyword "nutritionist in brisbane"! How many nutritionists do you think would like to have that? Her YouTube video is ranked #2 for that term and she is also ranked #7 and #11 for the more competitive term "nutritionist brisbane".
Recently the Heart Foundation found her on Google and contacted her to do some kind of Joint Venture promotion!
Are you starting to see a common thread here! Web 2.0 and social media DO WORK! You just have to know how to implement, without wasting a whole lot of time, and using the right strategic approach.
"Hi Peter
I am so excited, I am now over 500 followers (up from about 350) and I have been getting registrations to our website membership that I feel might be related to Twitter….. It is all so exciting. I seem to be as excited about getting followers on Twitter as I am on getting new members on the website.
Have a great day and thanks again."
Heather
"Hi Peter -

Now we’ve really only just started the course - and people are getting this excited! We’ve yet to get into the really juicy bits - in my humble opinion!
And I have just TWO places left on the course before the quota is filled, and I’m going to close this course intake off on June 30, or whenever the two places are sold, whichever is the sooner. I will be starting the launch of my next course early in the new financial year - and for certain it will be more expensive than this one.
If you wanted to grab a-hold of one of the last two places in this currently-running course, it’s easy to catch up with everyone, as when you join now, you’ll receive the previous Webinars as full video recordings, plus access to all the material we’ve shared so far!
Now one particular reason I mention this right now, is that this is most likely the last "Un-Guru" webinar series in this format. My business coach is not entirely happy with my branding and now that I have established my presence within the social networks and the local market as a leader in this field, I’m being pressured to adjust the brand-name to reflect that!
Either way, this is the last opportunity you will have to participate in this style of webinar series for the crazy low price of just US$197 /mth for only 3 months. Honestly, if you go and
check out this page here, you’ll see some price comparisons of other quality social marketing teachers. You’ll see why this is amazing value. Plus I’m adding in a LOT more than most, who focus purely on the basics of Twitter, Facebook and maybe video. There is MUCH more that that packed into the UN-Guru’s course -
go take a look now.
Anyway, the other reason for this email is to share some VERY important information, if you’re building your Twitter followers, or even thinking about it!
You see today my VA contacted me to say she could not follow anyone through my Twitter account. I checked it out, and sure enough, I just got this time-clock signal, and nothing happened, each time I tried to follow someone. I checked the Twitter forum and there was an acknowledged issue with following/followers, so I didn’t think too much more about it. But tonight I am getting a little message which says that I’m unable to follow more people at this moment, and "click here.
I thought I’d share the page with you, so you can read from the horses mouth what can cause these occurances, especially when its related to perhaps a little too-much-too-quick following! We’ll see!
Here’s the link to the Twitter page - interesting reading!
I’ll keep you posted!
